Just as the name suggests, concrete parking stops are made from concrete. This type of wheel stops are common in car parking areas where there is a lot of loading and offloading, such as supermarket car parks. They ensure motorists park in regimented lines.  The wheel stops are designed to prevent vehicles running at lower speeds from colliding with other cars when parking.
